Olivier Guittard – General Manager and Project Director R&D
Olivier Guittard was appointed General Manager and Project Director R&D for Amadeus Sofia in June 2022.
In his role as General Manager, Olivier is responsible for continuing the growth of the Amadeus Sofia Labs and the active collaboration of the R&D team in Sofia and the other Amadeus R&D centers around the globe.
Among his goals as a Project Director are the expansion of current solutions features and cutting-edge technologies to respond to the needs of today’s travel industry and tomorrow’s trends.
During his 25 years in Amadeus, Olivier takes diverse tech and managerial roles, leading teams of more than 300 engineers located in different locations around the globe like Nice, Bangalore, Beijing, Tokyo, Dallas, Boston, Hong Kong, and Dubai to deliver software solutions for a great number of customers from travel industry.
In particular, Olivier led the Airlines’ Digital product line development during 10 years, from the early day of the e-Commerce, to grow it to a very profitable business, powering nearly 100 Airlines websites, including Bulgaria Air, Air France, Qantas, Lufthansa, Air Canada. Under his management, Amadeus solution was awarded 4 years in a row “world’s leading internet booking engine”.
He holds a Master 2 of Science degree in Biology and Agribusiness from the University of Nantes, France and an Engineering degree in IT.
