Emil Iliev – General Manager at Woodward Bulgaria
Emil Iliev has been a General Manager at Woodward Bulgaria since 2011.
He started his career over 33 years ago in various management positions in companies in Bulgaria from the sectors of oil refining and heavy engineering. Since 2010, he has been an Operational Director at IDS Solar – an enterprise of IDS Switzerland in Sofia, which was acquired by Woodward Inc. the following year and integrated into the structure of a successful 150 year old corporation.
After graduating a German Language school, Emil studied economics and over the years had the opportunity to acquire additional training, knowledge and experience through cooperation with leading international companies in the processing industry and engineering.
Since 2015, Woodward Bulgaria has launched a project for manufacturing of products for the aircraft industry. The project has been successful and is in continuous development with a diversification of products to be assembled in civil and military aircraft.
At the heart of the successful project, Emil relies on a talented team of enthusiastic young engineers and specialists, with whose active support the enterprise is starting a new project for diversification and increase in production capacity in 2022.
